The IBB offers the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Course at Rice University. This course, UNIV 594, is co-organized by Mary C. (Cindy) Farach-Carson and Stacey Kalovidouris and meets during the fall semesters on Wednesdays from 12:10 until 1:40 PM.
The IBB also offers a RCR short course, given over two days in the summer. This course is intended for temporary research interns, (i.e., this is not a substitute for the UNIV 594 course). Open to all students and postdoctoral researchers, as well as career award applicants, this course provides training in the RCR in the areas of data management, research misconduct, responsible authorship, conflicts of interest, and the peer review process.
