This event is designed as a means for faculty (and students) to discuss Rice’s role in the future of research, innovation, entrepreneurship and the Midtown Innovation District project. Prof. Gill’s lecture will discuss the best models of university led innovation hubs derived from his experience in Silicon Valley, MIT, and Harvard. Following the lecture, there will be a special "fireside chat” led by Brian Patterson (Rice Board of Trustees, successful investor) and an expert panel discussion on the future of Rice in the innovation community moderated by Peter Rodriguez (Dean, Jones School).
